Reopening Plan
(updated 5/16/2020)

We are eager to worship with you all while still practicing social distancing and several safety precautions. In order to reduce capacity and to protect those who are at higher risk, we have divided our congregation into three groups. Each group may attend on their assigned Sunday in a three week rotation.
For Members and Regular Attenders

You should have received an email from Michelle Smith notifying you of your assigned group (A, B, or C).  If you plan to attend, please attend only the Sunday you are eligible to attend.

If you have not received your group assignment, please contact Michelle and she will assign you to a group.

Group Schedule is as follows
A – May 17, June 7, June 28
B – May 24, June 14, July 5
C – May 31, June 21, July 12
For Visitors

Visitors are more than welcome to attend as we reopen the church.  Matter of fact, we have made space for you!

Before attending, please note what group you are eligible to attend with and what dates they are attending.  Also, please read the “For All” section below.  We look forward to meeting you!

Groups A & B are for people under the age of 55 with or without children.

Group C is for people over the age of 55 and with children over the age of 10.

For All

  • All adults and children over the age of 10 will need to wear masks. We know this is incredibly inconvenient and we will try to lower the air conditioning in the sanctuary to make it a bit more bearable…dress appropriately!
  • All children will be with their families for the duration of their time in the building. This includes walking children under the age of 10 to the bathrooms. There will be no childcare or elementary kids in the Shack.
  • To the best of your ability, please always remain at least 6ft away from the nearest family that is not living in your household.
  • The playground will be closed. Parents, please prepare your children that they are to be by your family’s side before, during, and after service. They may not freely roam inside the building.
  • Other Eligibility Concerns:
    • Do not come to church if you have any pre-existing conditions that might put you at risk. Join us on Facebook live until this whole thing is over. We love you and want to keep you safe.
    • Do not come if you have been ill in the last 48 hours or if someone in your home has been ill in the last 48 hours.
    • Do not attend if you have come in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks.
  • Steps to Keep you Safe
    • Sanitizing stations will be setup outside the front doors and outside the bathrooms.
    • Air filters on AC Units will be changed more frequently.
    • The sanctuary will be completely disinfected after every service.
    • The front doors will be propped open before and after service (they will be locked during service). The doors into the sanctuary will remain open during the entire service time to limit touching points.
    • No coffee or doughnuts ☹ Prepare your children in advance or just bring your own!
    • Half of the chairs in the sanctuary will be removed. There will be 21 groups of 6 chairs spaced over 6 feet apart.
    • Offering boxes will be placed near the sanctuary doors in lieu of passing the offering bag around.
    • All seating areas and tables in the foyer will be removed.
    • All bibles, fellowship pads, pens, and tithing envelopes will be removed from the sanctuary.
