Act Like Men

The Apostle Paul calls us to “Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

What does Paul Mean?
  • Men are to be “on the alert” avoiding the trap of sin, guarding our families against the evil one and the culture of which he is the “god of this world”, and protecting our church from division and heresy.
  • Men are to “stand firm in the faith” knowing the Scriptures, living them out, and never wavering.
  • Men are to “be strong,” not shrinking in the face of spiritual challenges, but stepping up to meet them in God’s strength; the “power of His might”.
  • Men are to do everything “in love”. From every grand action to every idle thought, love must always motivate us and guide us. Love for God and love for our families, churches, neighbors, and even enemies.

Bible Study & Small Groups

Fellowship men meet bi-weekly from 8:00 – 9:30 am. We spend about half our time in verse-by-verse Bible study and the other half in small groups. The study always generates lively discussion, questions and answers, and the sharing of stories. Small groups are for building relationships, personal accountability, and prayer for each other, our families, and church.
