Home Groups

Home groups are small groups that meet in homes for prayer, Bible study, accountability and community.  They are a great way to connect with others in the church and to grow in your faith.  Here are some basic questions people ask about home groups:

Where do Home Groups meet?

Most home groups meet in homes in the neighborhoods around the church.  One home group meets in The Shack, the building right next to the church.  The Shack home group meets right after church and is a great place to start if you are new to home groups.

Do I have to go to a specific Home Group?

No, you do not have to go to a specific home group.  A home group may lean towards a particular demographic (i.e, families with young kids or empty nesters) but people are free to connect in whichever home group they desire.  Please feel free to attend several home groups before deciding which one to make your home.

How often do Home Groups meet?

Home groups meet every other Sunday during the fall and spring.  Please see the Events page for the next scheduled home group Sunday.

When do Home Groups meet?

Most home groups meet at 12:00 p.m. following the Sunday morning service.  The Shack home group begins at 11:30am.

What do you do during Home Group?

Typically each home group has a meal, prays together, and discusses the passage from the sermon and how to apply the passage to their lives.  Home groups are a great place to get encouragment for living faithfully to God.

Where do my kids go during Home Group?

You take them with you!  Home groups are a family experience.  Some home groups will chip in for babysitters, but older children are encouraged to join in on the conversation.  We all need help and encouragment trusting in the Lord and living for Him.
